Auto Sale Estimate, Car Repairs Estimate, Avoid Being Ripped Off
When you are buying a car you want to make sure that you are getting exactly what you are paying for. Your first step is to go to the dealer and find a car you are looking for. Find out what the cost is and then sit down with a salesman. The next step that they will ask you are what kind of options do you want. For example, do you want cruise control or a CD player anything that does not come standard on the car is an option.
Of course in your mind you know you want to shop around but you want to hear out the salesman and get an estimate in writing, so if you decide to go with that dealership you will have the estimate in writing. They will have to honor the estimate. Most new car dealerships will give you a written estimate and will honor it when you decide that is what you want to do.
Estimates are very important when you are dealing with a used car dealership. Some used car places have reputations for being shady and unreliable. Always make sure they give you a written estimate, either in type or handwritten and signed by them and some extra witnesses would not hurt either.
Estimates are the next best thing to a contract and if need be they hold up in court very well. Most companies no matter what they are will give written estimates, they know you are going to shop around and some are going to be the best and some aren’t but always get it in writing and always read what you get.
